FLOCK is an ongoing dance- and performance festival initiated by Anna Öberg in 2021. A multi-art work disguised as an euphoric dance party where the boundaries between scenic works, installations and mingling are blurred.

The experience of being on a boiling dance floor has always been a great source of inspiration in my choreographic work. To share the wordless experience of time, space and movement with other bodies.

Through FLOCK, I want to create an encounter for dance and performing arts that in different ways, and through a diversity of expressions and genres, takes its starting point in that particular experience.

The name FLOCK (herd) is a play with the word itself as well as the theme of the festival - "A flock is a group, cluster or family of terrestrial animals. Sometimes kindred spirits, sometimes united only by desire.”

For me, in this dark time of division, FLOCK is a dream come true.
